Ancient Inventions of Man

On Friday, August 11th, Rocky Mountain Creation Fellowship is presenting
a talk from its’ President, Mr. Brian Catalucci. The title
of Brian’s talk will be Ancient Inventions of Man.
In 1993 Brian graduated with a MS in Computer Science and
Engineering from the University of Colorado at
Boulder. Brian is presently President of Rocky Mountain
Creation Fellowship (RMCF) in Denver, Colorado (www.youngearth.org)
and is a frequent speaker for RMCF on a variety of Creation Science
topics, including Biblical Creation and the inerrancy of Scripture.
He has appeared on both TV and radio shows on Creation Science topics.
Evolutionary science believes that man ascended (evolved) from
an ancient ape ancestor millions of years ago. Therefore, man
started out as a very primitive creature and has evolved
his mind, emotions and intellect over all those millenniums. All
his inventions built upon his previous ones all the way from the
discovery of fire to the Space Shuttle Discovery.
The Bible paints a different picture of man. Man was created by
God in His own image: a fully functional mature adult, with
a fully mature mind, emotions and intellect with all the knowledge
that God gave him. Because of his sin and the fall of mankind,
man has not evolved over the last 6000 years but has devolved mentally,
emotionally and intellectually. Exactly opposite of evolutionary
theory.
We can show from the historical and fossil record that the Bible
has it right. In man’s past it can be shown that he
was very intelligent and creative from his very beginnings.
Many of his inventions and designs from the ancient past are astounding
and could have only come into being from a created man as the Bible
clearly states. A man starting out with superior intelligence and
ability.
Inventions such as the Baghdad Battery and the
analog computer thousands of years ago give great
evidence of Biblical Creation and not evolution. There are thousands
of other inventions by man that also fall into this category. Babylonian
and Egypt ice houses, woven cloth, Aztec Calendar Wheels, tumbler
lock, crossbow, catapult, Chaldean Sundial, compass, steam engine,
abacus and many, many others.
These inventions, most created before the birth of Christ, clearly
give evidence that man had superior intelligence and ability from
his earliest times. Even though man today has great technology,
Brian believes that man’s intelligence and abilities have
been steadily declining since his fall from grace. These inventions
clearly show that Biblical Creation is the correct origin of man.
