Are the Galapagos Islands a Laboratory for Evolution?

Rocky Mountain Creation Fellowship is privileged to have as our
April speaker, Mr. Bill Browning. Bill is RMCF’s Treasurer,
an active member of the Board of Directors and one of our founding
members. The title of Bills' talk in April will be: Are
the Galapagos Islands a Laboratory for Evolution?
Come and witness Darwin's Finches as Darwin saw them, and experience
a unique environment with plants and animals existing nowhere else
on earth. Tour the Galapagos Archipelago with your guide, Bill Browning
and the hosts of the ICR Galapagos Tour, 2003.
Evaluate what has been called the Showcase of Darwinism,
a Living Laboratory of Evolution, by observing and interpreting
the archaeology, history, geology, and biology of the Galapagos
Islands, from a creationist and catastrophist perspective. See life
forms as Darwin saw them in 1835, and review his findings in light
of modern research. Understand the tectonic origin of the Archipelago,
and analyze critically the Galapagos evidence for evolution.
We will identify the major plants and animals of the island, and
understand the origin of the island species, based on a Creationist/Catastrophist
model of rapid bio-diversification after Noah's Flood.
From the red and black lava formations of the lowlands to the lush
rolling hills of the highlands, the Galapagos Islands provide a
unique terrain for exploration and discovery of your own, where
you can get up close and personal with the a most
diverse in-shore marine life, or face to face with penguins like
none others in the world.
Witness iguanas adapted to life in the ocean, and encounter giant
tortoises lumbering through cactus forests, all the while imagining
how God arranged the providential occurrence of conditions which
allow us behold these wonders, knowing full well "it
is He that has made us, and not we ourselves.” It
is not the Power of Darwinian Evolution, as claimed by Pulitzer-Prize
winning author James Weiner, who said Galapagos gives us the best
and most detailed demonstration to date of the power of Darwin’s
process (which turns out to be a zero!) Travel with scientists,
bent on a true demonstration, using the same evidence, to refute
these false claims, and oh so successfully, as you shall see. Admission
