Dr. Henry Morris III
On Friday, September 9th at 7 PM, Rocky Mountain Creation Fellowship
is privileged to have as its monthly speaker, Dr. Henry
Morris III. The title of Dr. Morris’ talk will be
R.A.T.E. is Relevant.
Dr. Henry Morris III is the the eldest son of ICR’s founder,
Dr. Henry Morris. Dr. Morris III joined the ICR
staff as Executive Vice President for Strategic Ministries in 2000
after a long association with ICR as Seminar Speaker and consultant.
Dr. Morris holds four earned degrees including a DMin degree from
Luther Rice Seminary and the Presidents and Key Executives MBA from
Pepperdine University.
An eloquent speaker, Dr. Morris III serves ICR as a featured seminar
lecturer, frequently is asked to fill pulpits across the country,
and is a regular guest on ICR’s Back to Genesis and Science,
Scripture, and Salvation programs which air across the nation.
Over the last fifteen years, Dr. Morris has served as an Elder
for a large Independent church in the San Fernando Valley of Los
Angeles, and has been instrumental in starting the Men’s ministries
and the Rocky Peak Institute of the Word and Ministry. He has also
served as Administrative Vice President of Christian Heritage College,
the Senior Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Canoga Park, California.
Dr. Morris has been published in five titles and many articles,
most recently with After Eden and updates and expansions of Many
Infallible Proofs and Treasuries in the Psalms. He served as Theological
Consultant for his father’s annotated Bible, The Defender’s
Bible, as well as contributing frequently to ICR’s Days of
Praise and the monthly newsletter, Acts and Facts. His love for
the Word of God and passion for Christian maturity, coupled with
God’s gift of teaching, has given Dr. Morris a broad and effective
ministry over the years.
ICR has just completed an eight-year research project into the
issues of radiometric dating as it relates to the age of Earth.
( Most of the studies were quite technical and the science behind
the research required advanced knowledge as well as a large investment
in field and laboratory work.
Dr. Henry Morris will update us on the key findings of
this ground-breaking research. This illustrated lecture
will cover the relevant applications and practical use of RATE’s
conclusions.
